Looking for a reliable constipation remedy? Essential oils can be very effective in bringing constipation relief.
Constipation is a common problem, usually caused by inadequate fluid intake or low fiber consumption.
When constipation hits, it can be extremely uncomfortable. It can create nausea and cramping, and in some cases it can be totally incapacitating.
If constipation is not addressed, it can lead to serious problems like diverticulitis as well.
Essential oils can serve as an ideal natural remedy for constipation.
Essential oils are not only able to improve the general health of your colon by supporting your intestinal flora, fighting infections and eliminating parasites, they are also able to bring rapid relief in that they stimulate motility and peristalsis.
Essential oils that have helped bring constipation relief include ginger, fennel, tarragon, anise seed, and peppermint, as well as the blends Di-Gize and Juva Cleanse.
There are several ways I've used essential oils as a constipation remedy and I've listed them here:
I place 8-10 drops of Di-Gize in the bottom of a drinking glass and add about an inch of water. After drinking down this concentrated amount of Di-Gize, I add some more water and swish it around the glass before drinking it again.
I mix 3-5 drops of peppermint with one quarter to one half of a teaspoon of raw organic extra virgin coconut oil in the bottom of a tea cup or coffee mug. Then I just add hot water and sweeten with honey to taste. This tastes delicious!
I apply several drops of Di-Gize on my abdomen along the path of the colon. Just imagine an upside-down “U” and trace the U with your finger tips, starting just above the right hip and following along the path of the colon until you reach the left hip. I use firm pressure and apply the oil neat (or undiluted). Some may prefer to dilute it with a quality vegetable oil.
Each of these remedies are easy to apply and I've found them all to be extremely effective. And that's a good thing, too, because if your colon is not functioning right, nothing is.
