Are there times you could use a nausea remedy? If so, therapeutic-grade essential oils may be just what you need. I know I turn to essential oils regularly as a reliable remedy for nausea.
Nausea can have many causes. Illness, dizziness, motion sickness, pregnancy, sinus drainage and food poisoning can all make you feel sick to your stomach and create the need to do something for relief.
And, when you're nauseous, you want relief as soon as you can get it, because having an upset stomach usually brings your normal routine to a stop.
Fortunately, essential oils can be the perfect remedy for nausea, because their tiny molecules enable them to work fast.
I have had many occasions when I applied essential oils and got nausea relief within a minute. When I don't get relief right away, I just apply them again, or maybe try a different oil.
There are a number of oils that people have found works well for nausea.
I most commonly turn to peppermint, ginger, or patchouli, putting a couple of drops directly in the navel and rubbing the area.
Sometimes I combine a couple of these oils, and when I do I , I usually apply peppermint last because it tends help any oils beneath it to penetrate more deeply.
Other oils that I've found to be good nausea remedies are lavender and a blend of oils called Di-Gize.
Lavender is great for relaxing an upset stomach, and Di-Gize is known to work powerfully against nausea caused by illness—even food-born illness.
If it seems like nausea may lead to vomiting, patchouli is well-known as an excellent choice.
When using essential oils as a nausea remedy, it's important to remember the value of addressing the source of the nausea as well as the symptoms.
So, for example, if you are feeling nauseous from a flu bug, you want to be sure and use essential oils to deal with the flu bug as well as the nausea problem. This can help you feel better more quickly.
It's important to keep in mind, too, that people respond to oils differently, so you may need to try an oil or two to find out what works best for you.
Because essential oils are such an effective nausea remedy, it's one of the many reasons I love to have them on hand. In fact, my therapeutic essential oils are all I need for nausea.
