Add Some Pizzazz to Your Holiday Dishes with Essential Oils

Each month our private Family Essential Oils community focuses on a a specific area to help us learn more ways to use our essential oils.

And during the month of December our focus is on food!

Why food?

Because even though everybody knows food and the holidays go together, not so many know that food and essential oils are a great match too.

But it's true!

The taste of appetizers, marinades, casseroles, dressings, beverages, vegetables, desserts and sauces can all be made better with just a small amount of essential oils.

Incorporating essential oils with your favorite food creations is easy, too.

And, because essential oils are so concentrated, it normally doesn't take much at all.

For example, just about any chocolate fudge or brownie recipe can increase its wow factor with just a couple of drops of peppermint oil.

Desserts and drinks are a great place to start when it comes to adding essential oils to recipes.

And once you gain a little confidence, using oils in more advanced dishes is simple as well.

And, there are some wonderful recipes out there that use essential oils.

We shared a number of them in our most recent Family Essential Oils newsletter for our members.

These included recipes for:

  • Homemade Cranberry Sauce
  • Lemon Butter Green Beans
  • Orange Glazed Honey Ham
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Rosemary Garlic Mashed Potatoes
  • Southern Cornbread Dressing
  • Sweet Potato Casserole
  • Turkey Injection Sauce
  • Ultimate Gravy

But you know what?

You don't have to be limited to recipes.

You can experiment with your own creations.

The only thing I'd suggest is that you apportion the amount you use by using the tip of a toothpick, so you don't overdo it. You can always add more to taste.

And, of course, when it comes to consuming essential oils, I would never use anything but essential oils of the highest quality from a trusted source...

... and those that are specifically for internal consumption.

There can be a lot of fun with food during the holidays.

And it can all be made even tastier and more fun with the use of essential oils.
